Sometimes We Can’t Do It
I won’t be able to write a post tonight, dear readers. I’m counting on next week, however. Sometimes, with regrets, we must say no to something we love doing—tonight is that night for me.
PS The banner photo isn’t here for its technical beauty. Instead, it shows a spot of beauty in a common flower and in the weathering of the stone wall—Wabi sabi-ish, the reality of life. The Tori Gates are from the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto.
This past week, I received a comment on an old blog post that rang true. He referred to Zorba the Greek and Jon Kabat-Zinn:
“In the same movie, as I remember it, the young man complained about his troubles. Zorba, with an astonished look and overlapping Kabat-Zinn’s therapy –
“Troubles?? Life is trouble. Only death is not…you don’t like life?” (thanks Neal)
I hope this note finds you well, and I look forward to getting in touch soon. Warmest and best wishes, Trudy

‘Sometimes we cannot do it.’ This short comment conveys lots of message for life. Thank you, Trudy.
Thank you dear Yoshie. Yes, you are right and there is more… both of these are true at various times.
Sometimes we cannot do it.
And your motto – still we can.
We recognize both. Many thanks, Trudy
Bless you Trudy. Glad you are where you need to be, doing what you need to do.
Thank you dear Margaret. With much appreciation Trudy.
